Description
We've got two Fender Telecasters going today. Guitar 1 has a crunchy overdrive with nice sustain; we're going for a Marshall stack sort of sound. Guitar 2 is similar but you definitely want to dial in a huge, fat, high gain setting- think Marshall on 11.
Guitar 1 has the treble set to 5, the mids at 6 or 7, the bass around the 6 or 7 as well. Start with your gain at about 6 and add more or less if you feel the need.
Guitar 2 is pretty similar. I use the same EQ settings on the amp but I push the gain stage with an overdrive pedal that has a darker tone to it. I'm using a RAT pedal which compresses the the sound in a really sweet way.
For the leads at the end, I'm using the same tone as guitar 2 and just add a tiny bit of delay with a 1/4 note setting; a fairly short tail. Just enough to give it some shimmer and depth.
