Description
The tune winds down with a chromatic riff that alternates between 2 notes. There are a few things at work here that really up the tension in this section. The first thing is that you are alternating between F# and F, a half step apart. Secondly, halfway through this section, you double up on the rhythm, alternating twice as fast while the band slows down. Notice how we don't resolve down to E on the final note; we just hang on that F note that gives a tense, unsettling feeling.
