Description
In this lesson, we'll look at how and why you can use Basic Chord Theory to transpose a song from one key to another.
What does 'transpose' mean?
It means that you are changing the key in which you play the song.
When you change the key, all the chords of the song change, but in a very systematic way.
Why transpose?
* To put the song in a key that is a better fit for your singing voice.
* To put the song in a key with chord positions that are easier for you to play.
* To make sure that when two or more musicians are playing a song together,
they are all playing it in the same key.
_______________________
To transpose a song from one key to another, figure out the numeric equivalent of the chords in your song in your original key.
Then, simply replace them with the corresponding chords in the new key.
It's that easy!
