Description
The acoustic opens up to full dynamic in the chorus sections. The strumming switches to down/up for a more relaxed, wide open feel. Now we are playing full chord shapes, and digging in a little more to match the dynamic of the band.
Note the variation underneath the guitar solo, when we stay on the D shape (E chord) for a whole bar instead of playing E and E/G# like we did in the choruses. There is also an abridged turnaround in the final chorus just before it repeats, making it a double chorus.
