Description
This position works with a E chord, and I'm still playing the root note after releasing the bend.
I have my pinky in the 7th fret on the 1st string, and I'm prebending the 2nd string with the ring finger.
I'm using a compressor, reverb, and this one also sounds great with a chorus.
I'm still using my middle finger to pull up on the 1st, and 2nd string, but again I played the last note on the 2nd string with the pick.
Play the 1st string in the 7th fret, and bend the 2nd string up a whole step in the 7th fret before picking it. After releasing the bend, play the root note in the 5th fret on the 2nd string.
If you haven't tried these with the palm muting yet, go a head and give it a shot. It's easy once you get the hang of it, and it can add a lot to your playing.
You can use this pattern for other bending positions on the 2nd string. All of these positions can be found in String Bending but this pattern can only be used in the first 9 positions.
