Putting It All Together: Rock Song In Real Time
Description
In this lesson we'll outline our objectives for this section of the Rock course. Now that you've learned some chords, riffs and techniques for playing them, it's time to put it together and play a song.
One of the most important new ideas that we'll learn is the concept of song "form". The form is important because it determines what parts you'll be playing and what order you'll play those parts. Each song usually contains these parts: Introduction (the beginning), Verse, Chorus, Bridge, and Coda (the ending). Because we haven't really tackled something like this yet, we will only include Verse, Chorus, and Bridge in our song.
Look for all the fundamentals that we've learned in the Rock Course thus far. We'll be using open chords, barre chords, and power chords along with all of the techniques used to play these chords such as arpeggiation and muting to create memorable riffs.
Let's get started!
