Now it’s time to play through our New Wave Rock practice tune with the backing track. As always I highly recommend you just watch and listen a few times before you start playing along yourself, but believe me, I also understand if you can’t wait to play along.
I hope you’ve enjoyed exploring the sound of New Wave rock with me. It’s much less foot-on-the-monitor and look-at-me and instead it’s about blending into the band with all the synths and other parts that are going on. It’s a very challenging thing to do, but it’s both fun and important to be able to blend in so perfectly that you’re only really noticed if you stop playing. Have fun with it!
