Description

The chorus features a great riff. It bounces back and forth between two chords, an A and E. In between the chords are some single note runs using the bluesy sounding mixolydian mode.

Also, notice the great melodic counterpoint by the vocal.

There is some palm muting for a bit of control on the chords. And we end with a one and a half step bend on E note. Again, this is done very aggressively and with some dissonance.

A variation on this riff is also used under the guitar solo but without single notes.
