Description

I’m using a Les Paul guitar for this song, but any electric guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position can be used.

A Modern High-Gain tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones in this tune. Dial in for a thick crunch sound. Start out by setting the Preamp Gain to 75%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, and the Treble and Presence to around 60%.

This song is double tracked - which means there are 2 guitars playing the same riffs throughout on the recording. One of the guitars uses a touch-wah effect for some extra expressiveness. I’m using an Auto Filter effect for this sound, but I’ve dialed back the wet/dry mix of the effect to replicate the overall vibe of the recording.

I’ve also added a touch of reverb for depth. I’m using a 10-46 string gauge with a heavy pick to dig right into these riffs.
