Description
I’m using a Les Paul, but any guitar is suitable. Choose the bridge pickup for a bright, clear tone.
As far as amps go, any Marshall style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set the amp for a clean sound. Set the Drive to 35%, Bass to 50%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 55%, and Presence to 60%.
Both guitars switch between clean and crunch tones, so either set up your channel switching amp for clean and crunch channels, or set your amp for clean and kick in an overdrive pedal for your crunch sound.
Guitar 2 kicks in wah, phaser, and flanger effects for certain parts in the arrangement.
I’m using 10-46 gage for the electric with a heavy pick. Add reverb to both guitars for depth.
Here are the settings I used:
Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 35% Bass: 50% Mid: 55% Treb: 55% Presence: 60%
Tube Screamer Overdrive:
Drive: 65% Tone: 55% Level: 60%
Phaser (Gtr 2):
Rate: 30% Depth: 25% WetDryMIX: 80%
Flanger (Gtr 2):
Rate: 15% Feedback: 65% WetDryMIX: 75%
Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 35%
