Description
Rhoads used Gibson style guitars with humbuckers for a heavy, overdriven tone. He typically used a small pedal board consisting of MXR effects units like distortion, EQ, reverb, chorus, and flanger, then ran the guitar & effects into big loud Marshall amps!
Randy also often double tracked his parts, both rhythm and lead to get his signature studio recording tone. This was and remains an impressive feat of playing technique.
