Description

The verse features the guitar alternating between a killer blues riff and some rhythm comping with 9th chords. The section starts with the vocal coming in on the IV chord, and the guitar strums an Eb9 chord with a staccato stab approach. The riff played off the I chord is a classic extended blues run that adds a unique vibe to the tune. There's also a straight ahead blues turnaround using the V and IV chord, firmly rooting this progressive take of the blues.
