While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Description

Any acoustic guitar can be used to play this tune, but one with a brighter tone would cut through the band mix a bit better.

As for the electric guitars, I'm using the bridge humbucker of a Les Paul for a powerful, biting tone.

As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set up the amp for a sustaining overdriven tone. Set the Drive to 80%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%.

Add some reverb to all guitars for depth.

On the acoustic, I'm using a 12-56 gage with heavy pick to dig right into those strums. On the electric, I'm using 10-46 gage with a heavy pick to attack those fills and leads.
On the recording, Guitar 2 features a warbly Artificial Doubling effect that can be approximated by using a chorus pedal.
