Description
"T For Texas" as made famous by Johnny Cash is the kind of song that proves that all you need are a handful of easy chords, a swinging groove and a ton of attitude to have a truly great Song. Numerous artists have recorded versions of the song, but today we pay homage to the great Johnny Cash. Our acoustic guitar part holds down the rhythm while a dirty electric guitar plays counterpoint and gives the song a swampy swagger.
We will learn three chords and a basic Boom-Chuck strumming pattern. We'll also figure out the slightly crooked, old-school, rhythmic structure of each line in the song.
Super easy and fun to play, we have a simple verse structure that repeats 7 times to make up the entire song. No chorus, nothing but a guitar solo in the middle

This is old school country at it's best, easy chords, a swampy strum and a vocal with a macho, slightly dangerous undertone. We are in the key of D major, playing in 4/4 time signature and at 140 BPM.
