Description
Now it's time to play this whole lesson up to speed with the band. The main piece of advice that I can offer is to know the progression well. There are a lots of chord changes and it's important to anticipate each one. It's also important to understand the timing of this piece with the switching from 4/4 to 12/8, and the use of fermatas for "free time".
I hope that you have enjoyed learning this classic ballad! It is a perfect example of how the use of seventh chords add flavor to a song instead of using the typical major and minor chords. It's also a great example of how to use fermatas for drama. Have fun with everything that you have learned in this tune, and I'll see you around.
