Description
The tune kicks off with a great riff using some interesting chord voicings and melodies. We are mostly based in the 5th position, playing a straight ahead progression of A, D, Bm, and D.
The A voicing consists only of the root and major third, which is the approach also used on the B minor chord (root and minor third). The first instance of the D chord adds the major 7 note (C#), which gives a Dmaj7 flavour. The riff ends off with a cool melody based of the second instance of the D chord.
The feel here is loose and relaxed rock and roll, so I suggest alternate down/up strums to get that kind of groove going.
