Description

The gallop is a common old school metal rhythm - a big part of the sound of bands like Iron Maiden.

This is not a triplet based rhythm - you should image a steady 16th note pulse, and omit the attack on the 2nd 16th note. In other words - the gallop rhythm consists of one 8th note followed by two 16th notes.

The picking pattern should be down, down, up, down, down, up etc. so that the downbeats are played with a downstroke.
