Description
Power chords appeal to the the rock guitar greats because they can be played fast. All you have to do is be comfortable with the power chord shape so that you can shift if around the neck with no time lost. Add faster rhythms to the equation and you have a recipe for rock. You can double your speed with 8th notes and other rhythms.
Try this with all the riffs we've learned so far. You'll find this technique will give you a lot of mileage when it comes to playing and creating great riffs.
