Hello all,

So, over the course of the last couple of years I completed the beginner's courses and still trying to develop accuracy and speed.

As someone who has no plans to ever play with a group or anything like that, I need advice. All I really want to do is become good enough at the "Clapton Blues" on acoustic and electric. I understand I'll never have his ability, but hopefully you get where I'm coming from.

While I don't mind at all the practice, I feel like I need to target specific lessons, drills and scales to get better.

Any of you out there that can play licks like "Pretending" or "No Alibis" have any advice on how I can trim my learning experience to become adept at this type of playing?

Always appreciate everyone's help on this site!

Pretending is taught in the songs section. Have you looked at the tutorial?

I don't know the song, but just looked at the solo section. It doesn't look that difficult for someone willing to invest the time to practice.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!
