I hope you've enjoyed exploring this relationship between the G, the C and the D chord. Even if the metaphor doesn't quite make sense to you, all you really need to know is that these three chords sound so good together that you find them grouped together in thousands of songs. In fact, most of blues, rock and country songs are built on this chord relationship.
