Now that we've explored the most simple version of the thumb groove with a chord on top it's time to start building on it by using the upbeats in between the thumb strokes.
You can mess around with all these combinations on your own, but for now I'll use all 3 strings at the end of the bar. If it's easier for you to just do two note or even one that's okay too. We'll do that for 16 bars and that's our example.
For this demonstration we'll just do the pattern for 16 bars with the metronome, but keep in mind that you may have to do it for a much longer time than what we'll do now.
