Description
For the verses of this practice tune, the guitar plays the melody. So first we'll break down the basic harmony and then I'll show you the melody we'll be playing.
The melody starts on the IV chord with a G# note, which has an exotic sound that's called "lydian" in theoretical terms. For the rest of the melody we'll use an A major scale on the B and G strings, and we'll end the verse with a chromatic climb up from the V chord to our I chord using arpeggiated power 9 chords.
