Description

In this lesson, we'll learn to use the Four-Step Fingerpicking Pattern with a syncopated rhythm, while switching between two chords. This will also involve switching between two different bass notes.

For the chord A major seventh, you will use the fifth string (A string) played open as the bass note. For the chord D major seventh, you will use the fourth string (D string) played open as the bass note.

Notice how the chemistry of the chords (Major Seventh form) lends a jazzy flavor to the music.

In this exercise, we will play two measures of each chord, and then switch to the other chord while maintaining the syncopated rhythm. See if you can play this along with me.
