Natural harmonics

High pitched tones created by splitting the vibration of the open string. This can be done by lightly touching above the 12th fret marker of a vibrating, open string. You can also create natural harmonics by touching the string above the fifth or seventh fret markers. You have to be more delicate to do this, though.
